Destini Doring

Executive Director


Destini Doring started with POPRL March 2015. She has over 16 years of management/supervisor experience with over 14 years in the senior care industry.

She has been a council member on the McLeod County Senior Expo committee since 2015, being a co-treasurer and is co-founder/advisor to AAP of Hutchinson (Aging Adults and Parents), a support group that meets monthly offering educational and supportive information to the public regarding age related topics. In 2021, she joined the Senior Providers of McLeod County and is currently holding the co-treasurer position. Destini coordinates the fundraising campaigns we have throughout the year, with the assistance of Resident Services Specialist Lisa, to keep our mission strong.

Merline Duering

Director of Development


Merline Duering has over 35 years of experience in the senior care industry and 30 years in business management; currently holding her position at Prince of Peace Retirement Living for 20 years.  She is the Pastor at Faith United in Winthrop and was previously the Pastor at Brownton Congregational Church.

Merline has served as Treasurer for the McLeod County Providers Group along with two other community boards and acted as Treasurer for McLeod County Senior Expo.  She is a public speaker {both keynote and presenter} and co-founder/advisor to AAP of Hutchinson (Aging Adults and Parents), a support group that meets monthly offering educational and supportive information to the public regarding age related topics.

Merline has stated many times, “The continued success of Prince of Peace Retirement Living is by the grace of God and good staff!”  We are blessed with seven part-time employees; each bringing his or her unique talents.

Lisa Hoff

Resident Services Specialist


Lisa Hoff started with POPRL in August of 2021. She supervises the resident activities program and volunteer program. Her outreach has made our volunteer program flourish keeping our meal costs down for our residents and their guests. She is instrumental in the day-to-day activities and services available at POPRL. Lisa assists in our fundraising campaign programs throughout the year keeping our mission strong. In addition, Lisa helps with planning and organizing the events we have throughout the year. In 2022, she will host the AAP of Hutchinson (Aging Adults and Parents) support group and coordinate guest speakers to offer FREE education to all attendees.

Anna Hoernemann

Foodservice & Housekeeping


Anna Hoernemann started with POPRL June 2021. She is an experienced cook who prepares our “home-cooked” meals and desserts Monday through Friday. In addition, she makes "homemade" bakery items for the morning coffee groups creating delicious pastries, muffins, and rolls.

Our Housekeeping/Kitchen Staff (HKS) is small but FANTASTIC and it includes Sheryl Albrecht, KayCe Cotton, and Wanda Rannow. All three do the housekeeping throughout the morning and help with the noon meal. The HKS staff rotates weekend and holiday cooking so our residents are able to partake in a nutritious meal 7 days a week.


Rick Wozniak

Maintenance/Custodial Staff


Rick is in charge of maintenance and custodial duties. He is an integral part of apartment preparation and the overall appearance and cleanliness of POPRL.
